Potty Talk

Is  a huge subject in our house right now especially after a teacher told us that our sweet little prince has to stop that kind a talk right away. Hm... I looked at her quite confused and said: "Interesting, at home we mostly talk German, I guess he got those words from here (pointing at his classroom)". Her answer to it: "I know there are some kids who use potty talk too"...

At home we have the rule now that when he uses those words (like pee pee, poop, poo poo.... and so on) he has to go strait to the toilet and sit down on it no matter if he was playing with something, sitting on the table or outside because this is the only room where he can talk about such stuff - even if he doesn't has to go at that time.

Today I took the boys to pick up Mimi from her friend and while driving Max started to speak:

Max: Mom, why are you watering the garden every day?

Me: Because all the plants need water to get food.

Max: But if they get food they need to pee and poop right?

Me: Not really, only humans and animals pee and poop. Stop with your potty talk otherwise you have to sit on it when we are home again.

Max (speaking to himself): So elephants and squirrels do pee and poop and dogs and kitty cats, but dogs are peeing really hard...

He had me at "elephants and squirrels" and no... he didn't need to sit on the toilet because he was loud thinking ;)
